  • Long press on camera button launches camera if shutter is open
  • New My Nokia SMS tips and mobile web portal system
  • Demand paging of ROM apps!!!!!! 30 plus MB free after booting!!
  • Search 4.0 integration on standby screen
  • Old multimedia menu still there, i.e. it’s not the new style
  • N-Gage game previews (FIFA, Asphalt) and portal/shortcut to upcoming N-Gage client, as in N81 and N95 8GB
  • Nokia Music Store client, although the store server hasn’t been updated to handle the N95 yet – maybe this’ll happen later today

Found a very usefull read today over at The Nokiablog about all very usefull shortcut keys.. If you use the s60 3rd edtion web browser, powered by safari, then its definetly worth a read, personally, i prefer the opera mini for web browsing on the phone, i have the opera mini for some years now, and v4 is simply the best ever, and its totally free which is allways a good thing :)

read the s60 web browser shortcuts here

i post more on the opera mini another day, and write up a full review on it ;)

Matt Radford gives his thoughts on iPhone after lifetime using s60

    •November 23, 2007 • Leave a Comment

Guest writer Matt Radford over at All About Symbian writes about the apple iphone after being a lifetime symbian s60 user.. Go check it out and read for yourself, makes some good reading ;)

i will highlight one paticular part on the review:

But as for SMS – gaaahhh! This is one area where the feature canyon is wide. The iPhone does not allow texts to multiple recipients, nor drafts, nor forwarding, and there isn’t even a character count as you’re writing a message! Also no MMS, even though it would not be hard to integrate. It’s like 1999 but we’re not partying. The IM style of threaded SMS (“conversations”) grates – I’m not convinced that this is a good way to handle what are usually fire-and-forget quick messages. Plus what’s the point of keeping those conversation histories if you can’t do anything with that data (there’s no cut and paste)?

i never knew this about the iphone (then to be perfectly honest, i have paid little to none at all intrest in this device) this to me really does sound like a phone from the past, i mean what phone now a days dont have multiple message sending, or even MMS, simply terrible, i couldnt cope with just that one flaw on its own, not to mention all the rest of flaws, as i often need to forward sms messages, and also forward them to multipe contacts, well iphone would make such a task take a very very long time… lol..
